    Are these new terms? I’m familiar with the concepts, but have heard other labels like: prosody, directional verbs, etc.

  • Yes and no. Most of them are already discussed in the Introduction to ASL Linguistics by Clayton Valli, Ceil Lucas and Kristin Mulrooney. As for the newer terms such as depicting verb, it also will be covered in the Introduction to ASL Linguistics, 5th ed.
